11w1d and an update

The good news first - Ruthie's cardiology appointment went GREAT! We get to "fire" yet another (and the last!) specialist on her list. Her PFO is closed - on its own - and no surgery will be needed. She is free and clear of all specialists! This was her last "chunk" of prematurity and we are thrilled to wave it goodbye.

The not-so-good (but not horrible) news - we had another ultrasound on Tuesday. Baby looks GREAT - heartrate was 165 and he/she was all over the place. Everything looks to be on point where it should be. The scary part.....the fibroids are back. Three of them, again. There was one small one at our first ultrasound three weeks ago, and that one has doubled and two more have shown up. All are fairly small for right now, though they are the same size as when Ruthie was at this gestation. The GOOD thing is that they aren't anywhere near baby right now. Ruthie's placenta was implanted ON one, and that's what caused the majority of the problems with her pregnancy. So hopefully there won't be any issues this time, other than a uterus looking like it has multiples in it. ;) So far this pregnancy has gone great - no issues that I had with her. A lot of nausea but that's to be expected. I go back in two weeks for another visit.
