Chronological Age: 21 months, 2 days
Adjusted Age: 17 months, 2 weeks, 2 days
Weight: steel yourself for this.....are you ready?.....Ruthie FINALLY hit 20lbs last week! It was 20.04, but that still counts! :)
Height: 31.5 inches - she grew an entire inch in a month!
Height: 31.5 inches - she grew an entire inch in a month!
Head circumference: 18ish inches
Diapers: size 3...we trialed 4s for a few days but they were falling off of her
One-Pieces & Dresses: 24 months for shirts and one-pieces - weight-wise they're huge on her, but she's so long that anything else is too short; pants are still a 12 or 12-18 month
PJs: 18-24 months one-pieces or 24m (yikes) shorts/shirt....and the shorts fall off sometime during the night
Shoes: size 3s, but I don't think we're too far from 4s. She loves wearing her crocs and that's about it
Teeth:
4 top, 4 bottom, 3 molars through and 1 still making up its mind
Naps: Goes down anywhere from 11:00-12:30 and sleeps 2-3 hours...finally
Sleeps: 7:00/7:30pm to 8:30/9:00
Feeds:
still 100% G-tube dependent. Eating very small amounts during the day,
but still having a very hard time getting it to the back of her mouth to swallow it: still not drinking
anything.
Personality: She has very much come into her "attitude" (yeah, yeah, as if she didn't have one before.) We've introduced time-outs and while I don't think she quite has the concept yet, with the amount she gets put in the corner for being naughty, she should catch on pretty quick. ;)Biggest milestone this month? This girl is WALKING!!!!! It took her awhile to build up her confidence and she would take a few steps at a time, but now she is finally preferring to walk over crawling. We are so excited! She's still a little unbalanced but it's getting there.
Some more big news for this month? She was APPROVED for the Marcus Autism Center Feeding Clinic. YAY!!!!!! We are still awaiting the final "say" from her secondary insurance (primary refused to cover it) but they don't expect any hold-ups. She will go for her first eval on June 26th. Please be praying for her to show them what she is (not) capable of doing - our biggest fear is they will consider her worthy only of outpatient feeding (once a week) and we've already had over a year of that and it's gotten us nowhere. She needs inpatient (6 straight weeks, 6 hours a day) therapy to overcome this battle. There is an average wait time of about 6 weeks between the eval and the beginning of therapy, so we're looking at being down in Atlanta sometime around the end of August, likely, and we'll be there until mid-October. Prayerfully we'll come home with a girl who can eat AND swallow her food! And drinking liquids would be nice, too, but for now, I'll take the eating.
Not much else on the forefront - we're just learning more each day about what this little girl is made of. It takes a lot to make her come unglued - she is very tough.:)
Pretty soon, this feeding backpack is going to be a thing of the past!
We love this little munchkin so very much!

Congrats on the walking! How exciting. I can't believe how long she sleeps at night. What a blessing :)
