So sorry for the slack in blogging - our internet usage went over fairly early in the month, due to the amount of pictures I was uploading, hahaha. So....based on February 19th, here are/were her stats.
Chronological Age: 19 months, 0 days
Adjusted Age: 15 months, 2 weeks, 0 days
Chronological Age: 19 months, 0 days
Adjusted Age: 15 months, 2 weeks, 0 days
Weight: 18 lbs 8oz - she lost about a pound while she was sick with RSV - a pound she can't afford to lose :(
Height: 30.5 inches
Height: 30.5 inches
Head circumference: 18 inches
Diapers: size 3
One-Pieces & Dresses: wow, we haven't worn a dress in a long time - hard to crawl in one, lol. 18-24 months for most things; pants are still a 12 month
PJs: 18 months or 18-24. She's still has no belly or booty, but she is so long.
Shoes: size 2s; finally found a pair that she likes and will bring to me to put on, though the novelty wears off quickly :)
Teeth:
4 on the top and 4 on the bottom
Naps: She goes down anywhere between 11:00-12:30 and sleeps 1.5-2 hours.
Sleeps: 6:45/7:00pm to 8:00/8:30
Feeds:
still 100% G-tube dependent. Eating very small amounts during the day,
but is not as interested as she used to be: still not drinking
anything.
Personality: She's really testing limits lately. She knows certain things are off limits, but she'll go to them and look directly at us to see if we're watching, and then will disobey. We're starting to introduce time-out, though she's a little young for the entire concept. Spanking doesn't mean much to her - she's very strong-willed. Taking things away or giving rewards don't matter much to her (yet) b/c she's always willing to give up what she's playing with and just find something else to do. :/Therapies are going well. Speech is our favorite, by far. She's doing great with babbling sounds and putting more than one consonant together at a time. Verbal imitation is still difficult for her, but she's trying. Physical therapy is back to once/twice a month. Weekly was a lot for her - she had something every single day of the week. Gross motor is not a very weak skill for her right now, so we dropped back down to once/twice a month as needed. She's still not walking and is at about the same place she was last month. She's SO close but her balance isn't always there.
Feeding therapy.....sigh. Still not much progress. We're still in limbo about the Marcus Center. There is SO MUCH red tape to get her insurance to cover it. Our primary insurance refuses - they said feeding therapy is experimental. I supposed they'd rather pay for a couple thousand dollars' worth of feeding-tube supplies every month for the rest of her life. I won't accept that. Sorry, Cigna. Her secondary insurance WILL cover it, once we get through the red tape junk and get formal wording from the only clinic in SC that their facility cannot help her. She's making very small progress in twice-weekly feeding therapy, but it's a slow and frustrating go.
She is very into Daddy lately. She always wants to know where he is. She crawls over to our bedroom door and taps on it, then looks at me and does her "where is it?" hands and asks "dada? dada?" It's adorable.
More next month!
