TOTALLY forgot to update last week!
Ruthie's stats:
Chronological Age: 10 months 4 days
Adjusted Age: 6 months 2.5 weeks
Weight: 14 lbs even!
Height: 25 inches at last check (4/27/12)
Head circumference: 16 inches at last check....maybe 16.5 now?
Diapers: still very comfortable in size 2s - she has NO waist
Onesies & Dresses: 6 months, a few 3-6 onesies and 3m dresses still fit
Sleep'N'Plays: 6 months
Shoes: still a 0-1 on the rare occasion i put shoes on her
Teeth: her 2 top teeth are STILL coming in - not broken through yet.
Naps: (3) 45-min naps on a good day....trying to work toward 2 longer naps
Sleeps: 6:45/7:00pm to 7:30/8:00/occasionally 9:00am
Feeds: 100% G-tube fed. Now refuses any oral feed.
Personality: Oh my gosh, has this girl's personality is HILARIOUS! She can now "fake cough" to communicate and thinks it's hysterical when you do it back to her. She'll do it over and over, and is starting to do it to strangers as well, to see what their reaction will be. She is sitting up by herself now for long periods (20-30min), and is getting better at bracing her falls, though her arms are still too weak to stop most of her falls. She's learning to brace herself forward and lean on her arms in the next step toward crawling. We're working on teaching her how to move her legs to get to her knees....then she'll be off and crawling! We're still working hard in weekly PT and it's paying off! Our decision to change to a different company/therapist was the right one - she LOVES her new therapist and is making great strides. She still has weekly OT as well, but is not making any progess at all, and if anything, is going backward. I broached the subject of a feeding clinic and we may be looking into it in the future. She flat-out refuses any food/liquid in her mouth and will gag and turn her head away before the spoon even touches her face. She HAS shown some interest in a specific sippy cup lately, though she won't drink anything out of it. She puts it in her mouth and occasionally chews on it, but the minute any liquid comes out, she throws it to the floor and makes a disgusted face. (It's kinda funny.) She's still a pretty happy baby but is definitely showing her preferences and is QUITE the drama queen sometimes. She rolls all over the place and dances to one particular song (but no others....yet) and LOVES music! She is still a stroooong Momma's girl and prefers that I stay in her sight at all times.
